Instructor Certificates

IAM is focused on teaching those who will teach others this method of heart development. Our goal is to teach Heart Rhythm Practice to a million people, which will contribute to the shift happening in our time from the mind to the heart. To meet that goal, we have to train hundreds of capable teachers.

While mind-based meditation is easier to teach (one school says learning their meditation is about as hard as learning how to brush your teeth), heart-based meditation is more difficult, comparable to learning how to swim. To offer this work to others, you will need a comprehensive training.

Our certificate training prepares you to offer Heart Rhythm Meditation or Heart Rhythm Therapy to your clients or the public, at several levels.

Upon completion of each of the 200-level courses in the IAM curriculum, a certificate is awarded to teach the corresponding 100-level course as an IAM Certified Instructor. There are seven such instructor certificates; you can begin by teaching the Introduction to Heart Rhythm Meditation course, and then expand your teaching with further courses.

IAM supports its instructors with advertising materials, course outlines, course handouts, a reference on our Instructor page, a page of your own on our website, and credit card billing.

Professional Programs

Heart Rhythm Practice is a comprehensive discipline similar in complexity and depth to homeopathy or chiropractic. It is just beginning to emerge as a profession, a development that IAM enthusiastically supports.

At this time, IAM offers four professional tracks: Teacher, Mentor and Leader.

IAM Professional Teacher

Upon completion of the courses in this track, the certificate of IAM Professional Teacher is awarded, with authority to teach all of IAM's curriculum in weekly classes, public seminars, or private sessions.

Additionally, an IAM Professional Teacher is required to complete a 7-day private retreat.

An IAM Professional Teacher is required to not only know the IAM material and be able to teach it, but must also be able to model the consciousness and energy of the heart in their personal life. Consequently, there is a requirement of a heart-centered and noble character that is not automatically developed by completing the course requirements. We describe this requirement as being able to demonstrate the seventh step of heart development and the second stage of character development.

IAM Professional Mentor

Upon completion of the courses in this track, the certificate of IAM Professional Mentor is awarded, with authority to mentor IAM members in their personal spiritual progress, offering Heart Rhythm Therapy for spiritual, emotional and mental healing and development.

An IAM mentor is able to customize the IAM curriculum to the needs of an individual. The mentor is a teacher who is also able to assess the level of heart development of another along (A) the dimensions of the heart, (B) the steps of realization and (C) the stages of character development, and who then can recommend specific practices to further that development. more

Consequently, the requirements for a mentor are more stringent than those for a teacher. An IAM Professional Mentor is required to complete a 14-day private retreat and demonstrate the eighth step of heart development and the second stage of character development.

IAM Organizational Leader

The wisdom and power of the heart can be applied to spectacular success in business. Puran has worked in business for 40+ years, in the industries of insurance, banking, financial services, management consulting, waste management, alternative energy, robotics and computer design. In the last 30 years, he has held the position of either President, Vice President or Partner of the firm where he was employed.

Puran has taught the principles of Heart-Centered Organization at Citibank, Badger Corporation, EG&G, and Massachusetts Financial Services. The books he co-authored with his wife Susanna have specific descriptions of heart practices in business.

IAM offers a track for those who hold leadership positions in business or service organizations, or who are consultants to organizations. The "B" courses are valuable for any organizational leader or employee. Together with the other courses in the IAM Student and Instructor Levels, they prepare one for exemplary organizational leadership and personal success.
